  • I have hired a lot of contractors over the years and never had a contractor finish on time, on budget and with the level of craftsmanship as I experienced working with Labonte Construction. The quality of their work is only exceeded by their project management, troubleshooting and personal integrity from Dan Labonte all the way through the crew that works for him.

Let me elaborate. Our kitchen great room renovation required blowing out concrete walls, cutting through thick pillars, leveling floors and installing many windows and doors, and that was before all the interior work. Dan’s crew worked through 2 weeks of daily thunderstorms and still found a way to stay on schedule. They discovered several flaws in our architect’s drawings, worked with him to redesign the plans and got the prompt attention of our town building department to accept the changes without delay. Then when we were in the eye of the hurricane, Dan’s crew took the time to secure our home before worrying about their own well-being.

Like any job, we faced several surprises but also opportunities to improve upon our vision. In each case, Dan was upfront in estimating costs and provided great suggestions to find a perfect solution. Every invoice came with a clear line-by-line accounting of costs vs. budget so there were no surprises.

But it wasn’t the craftsmanship, project management and cost controls that impressed us the most. What stood out from the start was Dan’s personal commitment to the job. He was genuinely grateful for the project, even though I know he takes on far larger jobs, and was always personally invested in the project throughout the 4 months to get it done. When he wasn’t on the job site he was always a phone call away and had a quick grasp of all the details of the job each time we spoke.

I only have 2 regrets from the job. The first is that I didn’t have Dan’s team do the cabinet installation, instead relying on a cabinet maker who dragged the project out another 2 months. And the bigger regret is saying goodbye to Dan, his lead supervisor Paul and all the craftsmen who live by their same high standards. I hope others will have the pleasure of experiencing Labonte Construction firsthand!

  • We highly recommend Labonte Construction!

We worked with Dan on a complete remodel of our new house on the Intracoastal. The house was totally redone inside and outside.

Dan and his crew did an outstanding job.

It was a pleasure to work with Dan, he is very professional and friendly, he was on the job every day and provided updates every day.

He is very respected by his subcontractors.

There was no stress around the project, all was scheduled well and all crews were very efficient.

The project was done on time and within the planned budget, with excellent quality and attention to details.

We are very happy with our remodel and couldn’t have chosen a better general contractor.

  • One word that describes Labonte Construction ... Exceptional! From the moment we met Dan, until our project concluded, Dan was the consummate professional.

Both my husband and I had never renovated a property before and this was a big project ie, kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, windows doors ect. Dan walked us through every part of the process and provided not only his expertise as a GC, but his wide network of talented sub contractors and designers. Each one was timely and did incredible work. Seriously, the only time the process slowed, was due to either the permitting issues or the people we choose to hire thinking we could save some additional funds.

My husband and I would not hesitate to use Dan for another project! Renovating is not easy, but working with Dan and his crew made it a great experience.

  • Keith FinleyDan and his crew are a pleasure to work with. We have done many remodels and worked with a few different contractors over the years, but after working with Dan we will never work with anyone else! He is the best we have worked with by far. He is reliable, honest and the quality of his work is impeccable.

  • Excellent contractor-nothing is ever too much or too difficult! Reliable and quality work. Responsive and wonderful to work with.

  • I am an Interior Designer, my firm is located in Marblehead, Massachusetts. I just finished a total renovation with Dan at Lost Tree Village. We acted as architect, designer and contractor for this project.

Dan was a 10 in all areas. The ease of working with him and his calm manner made this project a pleasure and something we are both extremely proud of. The quality of his work and his knowledge of how to get things done is first rate. He never says no or we can't he just gets the job done. I would recommend him without hesitation for any project large or small.
